Course Description
Surrounded by the rugged Purcell Mountains of British Columbia and situated at nearly 4,000 feet, Greywolf Golf Course is one of the preeminent mountain golf courses in the world. The Doug Carrick Masterpiece is one of the few courses in existence that can rightly claim '18 signature holes.'

'Cliffhanger,' Greywolf's signature sixth hole is truly one of North America's 'must plays.' The par 3 requires golfers to carry between 140 to 200 yards over Hopeful Canyon onto a mountain island green with severe drops off the front, left, and backside, making it one of the most dramatic, awe-inspiring holes you'll ever play.

Greywolf can be both visually stunning and intimidating. But whether you're a beginner, intermediate, or pro, Greywolf has four sets of well designed tees making it playable for all.

‘Stay And Play Packages’ can be arranged with Panorama Mountain Village.

Course History

Greywolf Golf Course opened for play May 14, 1999 and quickly became a gem of the golfing scene and the prestigious, 'Best New Canadian Golf Course Award.'

Intrawest, the leading developer and operator of mountain resorts across North America and BMR golf, joint owners of the course, knew from early in the planning stages that Greywolf would be very special.

Magnificence of the site aside though, there were plenty of challenges in constructing a golf course at the base of a ski resort in Canada's Purcell Mountains. Miles of drain pipe were installed to intercept the run-off from the ski area each spring, rock was blasted and tons of earth moved to help shape the comfortable features, a state of the art irrigation system was designed and built to maintain constant water pressure over 400+ feet of elevation change, fencing was put up to help stabilize slopes and prevent erosion, and hundreds of truckloads of sand, gravel, soil and other custom materials were brought in over great distances.

Not only is Greywolf special as was initially planned, it is spectacular, inspirational, dramatic and breathtaking.
