Course History and Description:
Great undulating greens, demanding holes and challenging drives and breathtaking vistas, they are all part of the newly renovated, award-winning, par 72 championship course designed by renowned course architect Robert Trent Jones, Sr. Consistently ranked one of the top golf courses in the world, the course is sculpted out of the foothills of the western Jamaican coastline and has an international reputation for being both challenging and breathtaking.

Named the Best Caribbean Golf Resort by Caribbean World Magazine, the Half Moon Golf Course now boasts improved features for both the avid and casual golfer. Recently renovated by Roger Rulewich, renowned golf course architect, the course features newly-aligned, multiple tee complexes as well as repositioned fairway and greenside bunkers. In completing the renovation project, Rulewich was mindful to maintain the course's integrity of respecting the natural flow of the land while modernizing and lengthening the course to over 7,100 yards to account for improvements made to golf equipment over the years. Among the many unforgettable holes is the 570-yard third and the relatively short 350-yard fourth. With four sets of tees on every hole, scratch golfers and beginners alike will find the challenge of this great course augmented by the ever-present Caribbean trade winds.

A member of the Jack Nicklaus "Great Golf Resorts of the World," Half Moon Golf Club has been welcoming golfers of all levels for over a quarter of a century. Half Moon is also home to the Caribbean's only David Leadbetter Golf Academy.
