Course Description
The Westin Rio Mar Beach Golf Resort & Spa in in Puerto Rico is the Caribbean's ultimate beachfront golf and vacation resort.

Atlantic panoramas, ocean breezes and iguanas play along the entire 6,782 yards of Tom and George Fazio's Ocean Course. One of Puerto Rico's most popular courses, its classic layout features four sets of tees, numerous bunkers and elevated greens. The signature 16th hole, an oceanside par 3 always rates among the Caribbean's best.

One of the more challenging holes on the front nine is the 2nd. This 399 yard long par 4 normally plays into a prevailing tradewind. The tee-shot is bordered by a fairway bunker on the right and water on the left. Your approach shot is played to an elevated, shallow green guarded by a water hazard in front of the green and two bunkers on the left and right.

Here is a challenge for the big hitters. The thrilling par 5, 508 yard 15th hole requires a gutsy tee shot. To reach this green in two, while dodging O.B. on the left and wetlands on the right, means a risky approach. Conservative golfers will lay-up short on this hole, favoring the left side of the two-tiered green.

This signature 16th hole (par 3, 238 yards) has been called "the best little Par 3 in Puerto Rico." With the Atlantic bordering the entire length, a prevailing tradewind blows from left to right - putting a premium on the tee shot. Add in the bunkers guarding most of the hole, and par is a great score on the three-tiered green.

Club House
The magnificent 35,000 square foot Rio Mar Clubhouse is the centerpiece of the Puerto Rico's most prestigious country club. On a landscaped knoll overlooking the courses, the stately facility provides every amenity and service expected of a premier golf resort.

The Grille Room Restaurant serves delectable cuisine at lunch and dinner garnished by panoramic views of the courses. A fully-stocked golf shop offers pro-line equipment, accessories and attire featuring Greg Norman's Shark Collection. The Iguana Pub at the Clubhouse invites relaxation with a favorite beverage at the 19th hole. Practice facilities include a chipping and putting area and a large driving range. Resident golf pros offer skill-building clinics and private lessons. Titleist and Adams golf clubs, as well as Reebok golf shoes, are available for rental.
