The Pine Cliffs Course at the Sheraton Algarve Hotel Pine Cliffs Resort is one of Portugal’s most original golf courses, built in a pinewood at the edge of spectacular cliffs, overlooking the beautiful beaches of the Algarve and the Atlantic beyond. The compact 9-hole golf course with three sets of tees is surrounded by magnificent old pine trees and requires a precise game. Architect Hawtree's main concern to keep the natural surroundings as it was before the course was built. The perfectly-kept course opens with two undemanding holes, but the challenge gets tougher from the third hole - a Par 4 for which the drive must go through a narrow gap between pine trees. The world famous 6th hole named “Devils Parlour” is a challenging Par 3 with a championship tee built over a ravine that requires a 205 meter carrying shot right over the beach to land on a deep but narrow green. For several years, the British racing star Nigel Mansell, was the president of the club.

The Pine Cliffs golf course provides a well equipped Golf Academy with driving range with 9 different flag positions, large putting green, chipping & pitching green and video analysis room - all with the support of three qualified pros.

At the pro shop you can complete your golf equipment and accessories, or rent all you need for a perfect round of golf. The sunny terrace of the Club House & Corda Café invites you for a drink or snack after the round.
