Course Description and History: Majorca is a Mediterranean island with a long history and an impressive culture. Only a few kilometers separate the capital of the island, Palma de Majorca, from what can be considered two of the island's most fascinating golf courses: Son Vida Golf and Son Muntaner Golf. Son Vida Golf is Majorca's oldest and most time-honored golf course has been renovated by the renowned golf course designer Kurt Rossknecht. The broad fairways offer breathtaking views of the spectacular surroundings. The newly designed 18-hole golf course provides challenging play for golfers of all abilities. The course does, however, demand highly accurate drives and carefully placed approach shots while the quality of the fairways - newly planted with Bermuda grass - will no doubt provide a certain advantage. And as fascinating as the 18th hole near the club house may appear, there remain cleverly designed water hazards to be overcome before you can hope to birdie the last par five. Extremely fast greens, a rare commodity in Europe, urge you to take extra care with your putter. Those who have been here claim that it is impossible to describe Son Vida - you have to experience it for yourself.
