![]() ![]() Course Description and History: Situated at the eastern end of Portstewart, The Old Course begins and ends at the site of the original course, where golf was first played in Portstewart as far back as 1889. Par 64, its 18 holes set out along the rocky shore before climbing inland to give breathtaking panoramic views of Ireland's finest coastline setting, the world-famous famous Causeway Coast. Founded in 1894, this is one of Ireland's most distinguished golf clubs and was used as a qualifying venue when the Open Championship came to nearby Royal Portrush in 1951. At over 200 yards uphill, the par three 7th hole on the Old Course at Portstewart, 'The Knowe' will challenge even the biggest hitters.
