Course History and Description

Rated in the Top 15 Parkland Golf Courses in Ireland – Golf Digest, 2005
Designed by Christy O'Connor Jr. and Peter McEvoy the golf course at Rathsallagh has rapidly taken its place as one of the top golf courses in Ireland. Home to important domestic tournaments, including the 2006 Irish PGA Club Pro Championships, many regard Rathsallagh as the best parkland course in Ireland. The course has been highly acclaimed by the golfing press, described as 'Augusta without the Azalea....as good a layout and challenge as you will find anywhere in Irish golf.'

Measuring 7200 yards from the medal tees, Rathsallagh is one of the best laid out courses you could play, several lakes and small streams meander their way across the fairways and the USPGA style greens are immaculate to putt on. Or as one recent visitor commented - " like putting on velvet". The undulating countryside creates the perfect golf terrain. Long and demanding from the back tees, but fair and rewarding to all Rathsallagh Golf Club will offer golfers a wonderful challenge.

The Clubhouse overlooks the 9th, 10th and 18th holes. Excellent food and beverages await visitors in this fine facility upon completion of their round. The Golf Shop stocks an excellent selection of clothing, balls and accessories, and club, shoe and buggy and electric golf cart hire are all available on request.
