![]() Course Description and History: Enniscrone is one of Ireland's finest links golf courses set in scenic splendor in Killala Bay. This championship venue provides golfers with the ultimate experience - dramatic dunesland, an inspired design concept, superb greens all year round and breathtaking views. Enniscrone has hosted many major championships including the prestigious West of Ireland Championship from 1997 to 1999. Originally designed by the great Eddie Hackett - Enniscrone's reputation as a top class venue has been embellished with the addition of six new holes threading the path through the mountainous dunes. The new holes, expertly designed by the famous course architect, Donald Steele add an exciting dimension to the 27 hole championship layout. Adoption of the relinquished six holes together with the development of three new holes on adjoining land has provided the club with a further quality nine hole course. Once you step on to the first tee prepare yourself for the ultimate golf experience. Dramatic Dunelands, inspired design, superb greens and breathtaking views combine to make golf at Enniscrone an absolute delight. As you walk on the fast draining fairway turf, where you never get less than a perfect lie, you experience a feeling of lightness that makes two rounds seem more like one. There is an unmistakable air of elegance and quality about the way the holes vary their direction and challenge.
