Course History and Description
Arizona National Golf Club (formerly The Raven Golf Club at Sabino Springs) is desert golf at its finest. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., the golf course meanders among the foothills of Tucson, Arizona’s beautiful Santa Catalina Mountains as it follows the rugged natural flow of the land across shady mesquite-lined arroyos and skirts craggy rock outcroppings.

The surrounding vistas at Arizona National Golf Club are unmatched by any golf club in the Tucson area. From atop the tee boxes on many holes, you can see panoramic views that stretch across Tucson and all the way to Mexico. Along the way, Arizona National Golf Club’s diverse 6,785 yard course layout will throw enough decisions and classic golf-in-the-desert challenges at you to test the very limits of your golf ability. Enjoyment can be found on each unique hole!

Golfers get to view some of the most spectacular scenery of any golf course in Southern Arizona, including panoramic mountain vistas, forests of giant saguaros, and the rare beauty of nine natural springs. The course's attributes have certainly not gone unnoticed, as the course layout has drawn praise and acclaim on both national and local levels.

The toughest hole is #11, a 625-yard, par 5, which requires two forced carries over thorny desert. This hole starts with a blind tee shot that must carry as much as 240 yards just to get to the front edge of the fairway. If you are lucky enough to carry your drive to the fairway, a long downhill second shot awaits you. If everything has gone well so far, the player is left with a short iron approach to a very wide, but shallow green, only 15 yards deep, and ringed by severe sand bunkers.
