![]() Baywood Greens is a unique, full-service golf facility with a difference – all of the amenities of a private club available to the public. Nestled into the beautiful countryside of Long Neck, Delaware, and just minutes from Rehoboth Beach, Baywood Greens provides more than just exciting golf. It also offers picturesque landscapes, upscale dining with world class cuisine, and an elegantly designed ballroom to host any type of celebration. Whether you wish to share a drink with friends at the end of your round, relax and enjoy a great meal, or host a one-of-a-kind special event, Baywood Greens has the facilities and people to anticipate your every need. Course Description Portions of the course are thickly wooded with loblolly pines and hardwoods of white and northern red oak, maple, hickory and sweet gum. It also has protected wetlands and tidal marshes, and a sizable acreage of open flatland. The course is adorned from first tee to 18th green with an estimated 200,000 thousand planted trees, flowers and shrubs including rhododendron, 2,500 azaleas, and 4,000 rose bushes. There are 20 acres of planted annuals and perennials include zinnias, bachelor buttons, poppies, mums, day lilies and a mind-boggling 40,000 daffodils. Also, the place is beautified with meadows of multi-colored wildflowers. The No. Five hole (603 yards from the back Gold tee (558 from the Blacks, 515 from the Greens), is a very challenging par 5. Hit the tee shot over a large fairway bunker. The second shot is downhill to the lay-up area. This leaves a short iron to the two-tiered green protected by a large bunker on the left. Par is a great score on this "monster hole". No. Six is a par 3 that plays over tidal wetlands to a well-protected green. (223 from the Golds, 217 from the Blacks, 202 from the Greens), Hit a wood or long iron from the bulk-headed tee areas. The green is larger than it appears and is protected by a huge bunker front right and smaller bunker in the back. No. 14 is arguably Baywood Greens' signature hole. It is stunning. From the back Gold tee of this 425-yarder (409 from the Blacks, 385 from the Greens), the bulk-headed and beautifully landscaped island fairway seems dauntingly small. The hole offers two options: drive to the island fairway or play it right as a long dogleg left. Use a mid to long iron or a fairway wood on the second shot to reach the green, protected by sand bunkers, in two. No. 18 is a beautiful and challenging finishing hole. This par 4 (425 from the Golds, 379 from the Blacks, 346 from the Greens), begins with island tees and ends with an arched bridge. A long and accurate drive is required to set up a difficult second shot to a green guarded by bunkers and water. Par is an excellent score.
