Course Description
Across the street from Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island lies the scenic Jewel golf course. The course is comprised of the Grand nine and the Woods nine, set in the interior of Mackinac Island. The Jewel features unparalleled scenic beauty, lush landscaping and meticulously manicured tees, fairways and greens.

The Grand nine was built in 1901 and redesigned in 1987. The Woods nine, added in 1994, was designed by prominent golf course architect Jerry Matthews. Transportation between the Grand nine and Woods nine is by specially designed horse-drawn carriage. Clubs are available for rental.

On an island without cars, where horses and bicycles are still the favored modes of transportation. It's the shower, more leisurely pace of the past, but with all the amenities of the present. Where guests enjoy exceptional service and accommodations, and a full breakfast and five-course dinner are included daily. Grand Hotel features 385 uniquely decorated guest rooms and also has the longest porch in the world. Afternoon Tea is offered each day and meals, which are included in the rate, are served in our Main Dining Room. Mackinac Island does not allow motorized vehicles, bicycles and horse and carriage carry guest around the island. The movie "Somewhere in Time" starring Jane Seymour and Christopher Reeve was filmed at the Grand Hotel.

Package includes: accommodations, full breakfast and five-course dinner daily, unlimited golf on The Jewel, per person, afternoon Tea in The Parlor, all gratuities and baggage handling charges, and a special discount on ferry boat tickets.
