![]() ![]() Course History and Description: Located in the World Golf Village, The King & Bear is a unique and historic collaboration between Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus. This 18-hole, par 72 course stretches 7,200 yards. It features loblolly pines and open meadows on the front nine and the natural beauty of 200-year-old live oaks complements the back nine. The signature feature of this course is placid lakes edged with large coquina rock. These lakes come back to play on 16 of the 18 holes. Lush native vegetation abounds throughout the course. The 9th and 18th holes meet at the clubhouse while the other holes offer vistas that are simply not to be missed. Each memorable hole contains characteristics of both the King and Bear. The King & Bear has created a remarkable blend of the past, present, and future of the game of golf. From the rustic Irish landmark fencing to the historic stone replica of the St. Augustine Lighthouse, they have created a special link between the roots of golf and the oldest city in the United States. Since its opening in 2000, the King & Bear has received numerous awards and accolades. The King & Bear is owned and managed by Honours Golf.
