![]() ![]() Course History: Perched along the spectacular Sonoma County Coast, the Links at Bodega Harbour is a little over an hour’s drive from the Golden Gate Bridge. The Links offers unparalleled ocean views from each of its 18 holes and is a 4 Star Golf Digest “Places to Play” award winner. In addition to receiving this prestigious award each year since its inception, The Links at Bodega Harbour is annually rated as one of Northern California’s top ten courses, with the 18th hole named the best finishing hole. The area around the serene seaside community of Bodega Harbour is rich in history. Bodega Harbour was first discovered by Spanish explorer Juan Francisco de la Bodega y Quadra in 1775. Little has changed the land since and today’s residents are committed to keeping it that way. Bodega Harbour’s sandy beachfront and the surrounding acres of rolling pastoral lands will forever be preserved as Bodega found them. The nearby towns of Bodega Bay, Bodega, Fort Ross and Valley Ford were settled, abandoned and resettled by an array of robust explorers. It all started with the Spanish. Then came the Russians, the British, and Irish and other northern Europeans. Course Description: This Robert Trent Jones, Jr., designed Scottish links style course is typical of those found in Scotland, birthplace of this great game. From the challenging par-4 slight dogleg right uphill 1st hole, to “The Pit”, the three finishing holes, each requiring a shot over a freshwater marsh, you’ll encounter rolling fairways, pot bunkers, undulating multi-tiered greens and native coastal rough, which have combined with Mother Nature and the elements to bring golfers a setting unmatched in North America! One of the most challenging holes is the par-4, 405-yard 4th hole, a slight dogleg left that plays downhill with a spectacular ocean view. Off the tee, avoid the series of pot bunkers guarding the left side and center of the fairway. A well-placed drive leaves an open shot to the large, multi-tiered green.
