Course History and Description

Set along beautiful Mobile Bay is one of Alabama’s most spectacular golf venues – the Marsh, Lakes & Cypress Courses at the Peninsula Golf and Racquet Club. This masterful Earl Stone design boasts over 7,000 yards from the championship tees and has been consistently rated 4 stars by Golf Digest. Lush fairways, nestled beside the Bon Secour Wildlife Preserve, wind through live oaks, cypress, and other natural vegetation native to Gulf Shores, Alabama. With 27-holes there are many opportunities to test your golf skills here; you’ll need nearly every golf club in your bag.

The center piece of the Peninsula is its 27-hole championship golf courses that has been selected as one of the "most memorable and enjoyable" courses in the southeast. The playing is accentuated by its three distinctive nine hole courses that offer you a dramatically different playing experience time after time. The courses were designed by Earl Stone to offer a constantly changing variety of golf and visual appeal that will keep even the most avid golfer challenged and captivated both by its design and surroundings.

Peninsula Golf & Racquet Club offers more than just great golf in the Gulf Shores area, it is a full-service golf club complete with an array of social activities and events designed for the entire family. The newly remodeled clubhouse features both a restaurant and grill where you can order meals ranging from fine cuisine to the simplest of fare. You’ll find an 8,000 sq. ft. fitness center, 8 Rubico tennis courts, indoor and outdoor swimming pools and other amenities for your family to enjoy.
