Course History and Description:
Rated 4 ½ stars by Golf Digest, this spectacular Alabama golf course was expertly conceived, crafted, and etched along the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay in Fairhope, Alabama. This is truly a unique golf course in the southern region of Alabama with its' topography changes and undulations.

This 18-hole, Earl Stone design is enjoyable, forgiving, and captivating. Stone's 7,000 yard championship design challenges both the amateur and the professional. It’s a true test of golf where strategy and accuracy are the name of the game. Rock Creek features numerous doglegs and some of the most distinctive topography in lower Alabama. The topography and foliage of the land, along with dramatic elevation changes and the incorporation of the wetlands, creates many natural hazards while adding to the visual aspect of this magnificent course.

The par-4, dogleg right 2nd hole is Rock Creek’s Signature Hole and #1 handicap hole. Golfers should hit a fairway wood or long iron off the elevated tee some 75 yards above the landing area. The 175 yard second shot is a forced uphill carry over a large wetland. The guarded green has a tall, wooded bulkhead as a backdrop.

Rock Creek’s Signature Hole on the back nine is the 17th hole, a slight dogleg left par-4. From the tee golfers can lay back to the upper fairway leaving a long iron to a narrow green or blast it to the lower level, leaving a mid-to-short iron in. A controlled second shot is required to avoid the hazards guarding the green.
